FAQs
Boardfoot (BDFT) vs Linear Foot (LFT)
A boardfoot is Thickness x Width x Length divided by 12. Example: 1 x 4 x 8' / 12 = 2.67 bdft. Example: 2 x 8.75 x 10' / 12 = 14.58 bdft. A linear foot is every 12 inches. Example: 1 x 4 x 8' = 8 lft.
Are we open to the public? Do we need an appointment?
Yes! We are open to the public. You do not need to be a contractor or even have a business. You do not need an appointment, just come on in anytime we are open, and we will happily give you a tour!
Do we offer milling services?
Yes! We offer cutting, planing, joining, and much more. There is a fee of $100.00 per hour of work. You are more than welcome to call ahead and make sure someone is available before heading in. Milling can be done while you wait, or for larger orders, you may leave your name and phone number and come back when it is ready to go!
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, credit cards with valid matching ID, and bank-certified checks. Please note that American Express cards have an additional 3.5% fee. We do not have any form of online payment options. Cards are not accepted over the phone. We do not accept phone or online payments for safety reasons; there are NO exceptions to this rule.
Is there an order minimum?
No, we do not have an order minimum. You are more than welcome to buy as few or as many boards as you like. We even offer some scrap/smaller pieces if that is all you need! Additionally, as long as we have 8' left over, we can sell the excess of most boards. (Ex. 4' off a 12' board or 2' off a 10' board, etc.) This is a good way to get what you need for smaller projects and/or try out some of our exotics!
Do we deliver?
Yes, we offer local delivery for larger orders. Our delivery fee starts at $75.00. The price of delivery will change depending on how far away, which truck will need to be used, and other factors. Deliveries need to be scheduled in person, must have written approval, and must be fully paid for before they can be taken to your delivery location.
